This book is actually really good, but feels like it’s disguised as a YA book. Think Ender game, Hunger Games, but better. Like Darrow feels sort of like a stereotypical character at first but the world just has so much more depth than “District 13 doesn’t exist and the rich people wear MAKEUP”
2026: Don't know why I was hating on Hunger Games. Big fan of that series. Planning to read all of Red Rising soon. Also I had never read Ender's Game when I wrote this.
