LitRPG is my official guilty pleasure. I think the genre as a whole is pretty weak, but this one wasn’t terrible. The writing is mediocre but Travis Baldree does a great narration and it’s a fun, easy story. One annoying thing that a lot of litRPG authors do is try to use “gamer lingo” which always comes off horribly and is super off putting, but that didn’t happen here at all. I remember there was one thing early on that annoyed me but i forget what it was so it must have not been super egregious.
