Feels pretty stereotypical fantasy, but very well executed and few clever concepts. Ancestor blades are awesome, but the caste system and house dynamics are very basic. The flashbacks and different POV’s keep it interesting though, and it was paced well and good read overall. Fun but nothing special, probably won’t bother finishing the series.
