Oh boy. Wow. This “book” is literally everything wrong with modern fantasy shoved into 400 pages. Every. Single. Overdone. Overused. Stupid. Trope. “Strong, independent teen with rough childhood who didn’t know parents finds out MAGIC IS REALLL OMG!!! Then gets taken to a crazy new world, turns out they are royalty (who could see that coming) and they are really powerful but don’t know how to handle this newfound power/fame/attention because they are used to being the outcast bad boy. Plus there are sexy antagonists slowly turning into friends and lovers. Plus turns out they are actually elves. And these Fae can change into werewolves unicorns vampires and every other basic magic thing.” God I hate this book. I might read the entire series.
