I got the first two books in this series for free and they are short so I tried them. It definitely has good ideas and sets up a cool foundation, but it is just a little too weird and cliche. Reminds me heavily of the house of blades series also by Will Wight. Could still end up being a good series but as of now I am not a big fan.
